The province of PEI and it's relationship to the rest of Canada.
The education system of Canada , where we have been, where we now are, and where we want to be. This will also involve the challenges facing our country and our area of Canada.
Myths and reflection of modern education and the potential in our relationship with Taiwan and how we'd like to grow it.

Dr. Alexander (Sandy) MacDonald現任加拿大 Prince Edward Island 省教育廳副廳長（Deputy Minister）。Dr. Sandy 為McGill University大學心理諮商輔導博士、University of Alberta大學教育心理學碩士，以及三個學士學位。Dr. Sandy的職業生涯開始於1981年在Manitoba and Prince Edward Island的學校任教以及擔任工作的輔導員和學校董事會顧問。從此之後及在教育界一展長才，參與多項重大研究項目，並致力於教育的創新與改革。特殊貢獻：2010年，他出席了第一屆在沙烏地阿拉伯首都利雅得舉辦的國際會議，探討卓越學前教育的議題，還代表加拿大參加教科文組織。2011年至今，他一直是加拿大的組織Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)中有關教育研究和創新部門的理事會代表。
Dr. Alexander (Sandy) MacDonald is an educator and administrator with more than 25 years experience in the field. Dr. MacDonald has a PhD in Counseling Psychology from McGill University and a Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta. He also has three Bachelor degrees, two of which were earned at the University of Prince Edward Island. For the past number of years, Dr. MacDonald has served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Eastern School District. Prior to that, Dr. MacDonald was the Director of Educational Services and Programs at Holland College and the Executive Director of the Academic and Learning Innovations Unit at the same institution.
He was appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development in February 2010. Dr. MacDonald has served as a member of the PEI Task Force on Student Achievement, a member of the PEI Child Sexual Abuse Interagency Committee and the PEI Social Work Registration Board. He is the co-founder of Project Discovery and the co-winner of the Reader's Digest Award for Excellence in Education.
He has also presented at numerous provincial and national conferences. Internationally, in 2010 he presented at the 1st International Conference on Excellence in Preschool Education in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has also represented Canada at UNESCO and, since 2011, he has been Canada's representative on the Governing Board of the Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) based in Paris, France.
